Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
  • Producing high quality plates both design and taste wise
  • Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
  • Fill in for the Executive Chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessary
  • Keep a sanitised and orderly environment in the kitchen
  • Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
  • Check quality of ingredients
  • Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experienced as a cook
  • Experience in using cutting tools, cookware, and bake-ware
  • Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling)
  • Excellent record of kitchen and staff management
  • Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
  • Ability to work in a team
